I was looking over my stats to find out what keywords people are using when they come here. The newest Google update isn’t telling webmasters what their keywords are anymore, they’re stripping the keywords from the search string URL in order to keep people from customizing their content in order to game the search engines. I think it’s a great step toward serving the users and I hope it helps clean up some lame search results. Unfortunately, I can’t see what more than half of my readers are searching for. Why do people come here? I’m going to assume that the unrepresented portion of searchers are probably searching for the same thing that the represented portion is looking for.
This data is important to me not just for this website content, but also because I work as a professional niche blogger and my income depends on making sure that people visit my websites and that I am creating content that they like and that the search engines like.
